If you’ve ever dreamed of being an airline pilot, then a peek at Michelle Gooris’ Instagram feed will be enough to have you running to your nearest aviation school to sign up.
The 25-year-old tried medical school before realising she wanted to do something she found more enthralling, and after realising her studies meant she was qualified, she set about learning to fly a plane on a two-year course.
A quick flick through her photos from the last month shows she’s jetted between Brussels, Amsterdam, Madrid and Thailand.
While the photos reveal the glamorous side of her time off inbetween flights, spent lazing on exotic beaches or exploring, she insists it’s the actual process of flying that she finds the most exciting.
Talking to The Mirror she said, "I have such a unique and amazing job. People think it's about the lifestyle but it's not. It's about flying, working with the techniques of the plane, and the weather."

“The amazing locations I get to visit are just a bonus.”
"Flying a passenger jet is hard work and takes a lot of concentration, after all, you have a lot of responsibility on your shoulders," she added.
She also spoke out to encourage more women to consider the field. Gooris says that when her grandfather became a pilot aged 74, when she was 17, he suggested that she should follow suit. It wasn’t until he suggested it that she had known it was an option.
"It was once a man's world and although there are many female pilots today there are nowhere near enough,” she said.
"There needs to be more, in a manly environment we should show men that we can fly to,” she insisted. "We can all achieve anything we want in life and I can't wait to see where else my job takes me.”
Seeing as her Instagram is giving us a case of wanderlust, we can’t wait to see where she goes next, either.
