The perfect rural Italian wedding venue

Published

If your dream wedding takes place in Italy, with an intimate pool-side reception and dancing under a twinkling night sky, we have found the venue for you.

The newly restored Chiesa del Carmine is a private 11th-century church and 18th-century farm house in Umbria, 20 minutes’ drive from Perugia airport. The 8-bedroom property is available for wedding hire, with estate manager Christina Todd over-seeing the wedding planning process, including catering, transport, photographers, music and pre-wedding pampering preparation.

A symbolic ceremony can be held in the pretty surroundings outside Chiesa del Carmine’s restored Romanesque church. Alternatively, there are venues for civil and religious ceremonies a short drive from the property. The property sleeps up to 14 guests; further guests can be accommodated in nearby hotels and houses.

The 350-acre estate include a 15 x 5.5 metre swimming pool, olive groves, vineyards, a fishing lake and truffle woods. Starting price for the property: €4,000 per week. Bookings are being taken for 20th September 2013 onwards. Contact Chiesa del Carmine for more information.
