Fenty Skin drops today – so what does our beauty director think about it?

She’s mastered make-up (Fenty Beauty). She’s designed headline-making lingerie (Savage X Fenty). She’s led a luxury fashion line (Fenty). Now, Rihanna’s out to conquer the world of skincare. And Fenty Skin – available to shop online from today – has the same inclusive ethos as all her other business ventures.

“In skincare terms, this translates to an easy-to-follow, minimal routine that suits pretty much any skin type,” explains Stylist’s beauty director Shannon Peter, who’s tested the range. “There are only three products, yet each of them performs two functions. Total Cleans’r (£20) is satisfyingly creamy, and has enough melting power to take off make-up and cleanse pores. The brilliantly-named Fat Water (£25) – feels like water, only thicker – is both a toner and a hydrating and brightening serum. And Hydra Vizor (£30) is a moisturiser and SPF with not an ounce of stickiness, greasiness or ashiness.”

Given the resounding worldwide success and impact of Fenty Beauty, Fenty Skin had a lot to live up to. Shannon’s verdict? “It really delivers.” From £20, fentyskin.com

Join the interiors revolution at these thoughtful online pop-ups

Hands up who’s given their home a makeover over the last few months? You’re not alone: according to new research, 25.6 million Brits zhuzhed up at least one of their rooms during lockdown.

Unfortunately, that also means lots of unwanted homewares going into landfill. So to raise awareness of the joys of charity shopping for interiors, Barnado’s is opening a virtual pop-up shop this weekend. From tomorrow until 8 August, you can browse and bid on pre-loved pieces curated by award-winning interiors blogger Geraldine Tan (aka @littlebigbell), featuring household names like Le Creuset as well as covetable indie brands such as WA Green and Kitty McCall. Prices start at just 99p, and items will be sent directly to the highest bidders after the online store closes.

And because online pop-ups are like buses, this weekend also sees the return of Postable Pop-Up, an ingenious initiative by Manchester-based collective Curated Makers. From 10am tomorrow until 10pm Sunday, hundreds of creative businesses across the UK will be setting up shop at home and sharing images of their high-quality, small-batch products on Instagram under the hashtag #PostablePopUp. Prepare to discover your new favourite independent artists, designers and makers…
